The Renovation Process..

With most plans you start at the beginning, lay out the basics and build. In this case we are going to start at the end.

What do you want to see in your renovation? What is your goal? Do you want to create a more formal environment, one that is more relaxing, a place for the kids, a man-cave, a she-shed, a craft room or even a home-school area?  Whatever it is, Unique Residence has both the talent and experience to make your desires into your reality.

We make it sound easy to plan your renovation and it is, for us. We know that with all the choices and possibilities faced by home owners that this process can quickly become over whelming. At Unique Residence it is our goal to not only start the process with you but to see you through to the very end. We are your Perth home builder.

So, let’s begin. As we said above, start at the end. Shop your magazines and catalogs for the look you want. Tear pages out, make copies and compile a room by room set of photos for what you like.  This isn’t necessarily what you want or can afford, but something caught your eye and you like it. We work with you and your budget to turn your fantasies into reality. Bring us your ideas and we’ll make them work.

Let’s say it’s a second floor addition you are after.  Book in a free on-site quote, lets discuss the number of bedrooms and bathrooms required, the size of the rooms and the basic lay out you are after. As Perth home builders we go room by room perfecting each one to your desired taste.

Now that you have the basics in mind, we work with you and your budget. Unlike most builders in Perth we cater to all budgets, we can give you a variety of choice depending on the price. Bronze, silver and gold – we cater to all.

Be honest. Champagne taste on a beer budget is something we see a lot of. Lets work together to maximise your budget to get the most out of your renovation. We’ve all been there. Its time to talk to our builder Adam to discuss the specs.

Next Unique Residence will pull permits for the job, submit any necessary drawings to the planning committee on your behalf, and answer all communication on an official capacity, right down to how many nails will be used in this project? Don’t laugh! We’ve been asked that question before!  Unique Residence comes prepared! Once we obtain the necessary permits and approvals, then we come back to you with a proposed schedule. We don’t want to interrupt your plans for the summer or ruin a previously planned vacation! So let’s match up our schedules.

Then it’s on to packing. We can point you in the right direction, some of us may even help, but we know our homeowners like to take care of this on their own.  If we are renovating a specific room, please remove your personal items from the room and store them elsewhere. We can schedule a day to provide support for furniture removal if necessary.

Now for the fun part, DEMO day! We send our workers to rip everything out. Don’t worry. We give them the appropriate tools and training. You aren’t getting the guy from accounting that is mad at his year-end spreadsheet! Once the debris is cleared and removed we are ready to begin putting things back together. That’s our job. Your job is to relax, enjoy your day and look forward to the decorating phase!
